Since 1972, there has been a place in our community for all people to celebrate Christ in a safe, positive way. A place where hope, faith and love can grow and flourish. A place to strengthen our relationships with God. This place is New Spirit MCC.
We are about 18 members strong, "loving all, liberating spirits, journeying together, creating peace, through Christ."
God blessed us with the opportunity to purchase our own building about 7 years ago, which can seat around 80 people comfortably. So, of course that means we want to get at least 81 in here!
Our congregation spans literally five generations, from elementary schoolers to Sr Citizens, but the vast majority are working age adults in their 30's and 40's.
Ethnically speaking, our congregation is predominantly caucasion. However, we do have several african american attendees, as well as hispanic attendees in past years.
Over the past few months, we've seen an exciting shift as more and more visitors representing different walks of life have worshiped with us. Here at New Spirit MCC, we are always looking forward to expanding our definition of diversity.
